This year Wessex Cancer Trust's annual Walk for Hope event is coming to you virtually!
Join us on Sunday 6th September 2020 as Team Wessex walkers in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight Walk for Hope Your Way!
Choose your distance from our 5, 10 or 20 mile challenges and enjoy walking your chosen route whether that be along the coast, winding through woodland or trekking across fields! You can complete your walk with friends or family, at your own pace and in your own local area.
Even though we won’t be together physically this year, this is the perfect way to come together as a community and give hope to friends and family undergoing cancer treatment, celebrate those who have survived, remember loved ones and support everyone affected by cancer.

How to I track my distance?
You can log your miles by linking your page to a fitness tracker like FitBit and Strava - these will both automatically sync with your fundraising page and add to your online tracker. Once you're account is set up on this page, log in and head to My Fitness Activity tab to connect your page to your fitness app. Alternatively you can log your miles manually, this can again be found through My Fitness Activity tab.
Do I need to walk to take part or can I use other means?
You can take part in the event by walking, jogging, running, scooting, cycling or swimming - however you like - to hit your goal! As this event is Walk for Hope Your Way, replacing our usual Walk for Hope, we expect most participants to walk.
From experience I know that when you’re diagnosed with cancer it’s important that you can find something that can take you from your lowest ebb to being filled with hope for the future. Wessex Cancer Trust does that with the support it provides in its local communities, and it’s been working harder than ever to keep that support going throughout the pandemic.
